About Physio Matt

Matthew Lawrence London Paralympics 2012

Matthew Lawrence MSc MCSP HCPC

I graduated from the University of East London in 2009 with an honours degree in physiotherapy which allowed me to further fulfil my desire to have an all-encompassing approach to musculoskeletal physiotherapy and rehabilitation.

I have also completed a master’s degree in sports science, and worked extensively in the fitness industry as personal trainer. My key achievement to date is providing physiotherapy and assistant coaching support to the Men’s Goalball team at the Paralympics in 2012. I have been involved in this sport for the last three years.

My specialist interests are within the sports injury domain, looking at biomechanics and lower limb dysfunction, and I also enjoy looking after shoulder and neck complaints. I have a keen interest in dry needling for muscle injuries, and incorporate exercise based rehabilitation in all of my treatment.

I recently qualified as a Crossfit level 1 trainer, and enjoy keeping fit and staying healthy.
